I was born Richard Starkey on July 7, 1940, in Liverpool, England. My parents, Elsie and Richard Starkey, were working-class people. My father was a baker and my mother was a waitress. I had an older sister, Maureen. We lived in a small, two-bedroom house in a working-class neighborhood. My parents were loving and supportive, but they were also strict. I was expected to be respectful of my elders and to work hard in school. I was also expected to help out around the house. I had to do chores like cleaning my room, washing the dishes, and taking out the trash. I also had to help my father with his baking. I didn't mind ng chores. I was happy to help out my family. I was a good kid. I got good grades in school and I was always respectful of my elders. I was also a bit of a class clown. I loved to make people laugh.

I started playing drums when I was 13 years old. I was inspired by the great jazz drummers of the day, such as Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa. I would practice for hours on end, in my bedroom or in the backyard. I would also go to local clubs to see live bands play. I was determined to become a professional drummer. In 1957, I joined my first band, The Eddie Clayton Skiffle Group. We played at local clubs and parties. I was still in school at the time, but I was already starting to make a name for myself as a drummer.

In 1960, I joined The Beatles. I was the last member to join the band. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison had already been playing together for several years. They were looking for a drummer, and they asked me to join. I was thrilled. I had always been a fan of The Beatles, and I was honored to be asked to join the band. The Beatles quickly became one of the most popular bands in the world. We toured the world and played to sold-out crowds. We also recorded a number of hit songs, including "Love Me Do," "I Want to Hold Your Hand," and "Hey Jude." I was living the dream. I was a professional drummer, and I was playing with one of the greatest bands in the world.

The Beatles broke up in 1970. I was heartbroken. I loved playing with The Beatles, and I didn't want the band to end. But I knew that it was time for us to move on. After The Beatles broke up, I started a solo career. I released a number of solo albums, including "Sentimental Journey," "Ringo," and "Rotogravure." I also starred in a number of films, including "The Magic Christian" and "That'll Be the Day." I have continued to play music and act throughout my career. I have also written a number of books, including "Postcards from the Boys" and "Peace & Love." I am grateful for the life that I have lived. I have been blessed with a wonderful family and friends. I have also had the opportunity to travel the world and play music for millions of people. I am truly a lucky man.

In 2018, I released a new album called "Give More Love." The album is a collection of 12 new songs, all written or co-written by me. The album was produced by Jack Douglas, who has worked with John Lennon, Yoko Ono, and Aerosmith. I am very proud of this album. I think it is my best work yet. I hope you enjoy it.
